What you can actually see and control

Contracts, fees, and what the fine print doesn't lead with
None of the five lock you into a multi-year phone contract in the traditional carrier sense, but "no contract" means different things. Full detail in contracts and fees; the two worth flagging before you buy:
- Bark's device is financed separately from the plan. The Bark Phone itself is paid off at $10/month for 24 months regardless of which wireless plan you pick, and if you cancel the wireless plan more than 60 days in, Bark says you'll owe the remaining device balance.
